Hello there! I'm Will Chaney, the proud owner and dedicated operator of Alaska Dry Carpet in Anchorage, AK. Let me tell you a bit about myself and how I swapped the cockpit for carpet cleaning.
Originally, I spent my days as a commercial pilot, charting routes in and out of Alaska's remote wilderness. Then, about thirteen years ago, I came across an ad for a carpet cleaning business. Craving a lifestyle change that allowed me to be more grounded and in closer contact with people, I decided to give it a try. And, to my delight, it turned out to be a fantastic fit for me.
My approach to customer service is simple and genuine. I believe in being friendly and professional in all my interactions. Communication, I've found, is key in this industry. It's crucial to understand exactly what a client needs and wants. Once that's clear, my team and I can quickly schedule and deliver a thorough, high-quality cleaning service.
What do I love most about this work? Hands down, it's the act of cleaning itself - the bustle and activity it involves. But, it's more than that. It's about meeting new people, witnessing the transformative results of a good cleaning, and seeing clients' faces light up when they see their fresh, revitalized carpets.
Outside of work, I'm still an adventurer at heart. I love camping and fishing, and there's nothing like a good road trip to clear the mind and recharge. Anchorage has been a fantastic community to both live and operate a business in. Its accessibility to different places and opportunities for outdoor recreation truly make it a unique place.
